A Festival to Celebrate Nature, Women and Their Empowering Connection!

TERRA is a multimedia group Art Exhibition in support of our planet Earth!

The Exhibition aims to engage the public with environmental issues through the arts. It will feature Artists who are working to address climate change through their work by exploring the beauty of nature and its destruction by human activity; using upcycling materials to transform trash in art; and/or building sustainable art practices. The Exhibition aims to shine a spotlight on environmental issues and to inspire and empower other artists and audiences to engage and respond to the climate crisis, rather than being passive observers, as the climate emergency accelerates.

The concept of “masculine” and “feminine” energy has been used in many different mystical practices throughout history to describe two synergistic forces that exist within every person, regardless of gender expression. "Masculine” energy often thought of as being active and outward-oriented, and “feminine” energy receptive and inward-focused. That said, it is important to clarify that Divine femininity is within us all!

We live in a society that often appears to value thinking over intuition; taking action over being receptive; and focusing our energy outward rather than inward— but sacred femininity allows us to challenge that status quo. Embracing your divine feminine energy is about finding strength in your own softness and challenging society’s idea of what it means to be empowered.

Each year the Volunteer Front of House assistants take part in a collaborative project with guidance from Camden Arts Centre. This year’s project Market to Market involves a series of market interventions in local street markets. Join us for a weekend salon where the team will present the culmination of their research in the Artists’ Studio.

MAPS Degree Show 2013, consisting of 27 exhibitors from 17 countries, was professionally curated and designed by Dr. Elizabeth Upper, Researcher University of Cambridge and Fellow of Darwin College, Cambridge.

The Renaissance Photography Prize is an International photography competition to raise money to support younger women with breast cancer. The 2012 Prize invited photographers’ submissions in the categories of Expression, Environment, Memory, Perspective, and Disorientation.
